Thriving Day-by-Day with Activities

Looking at the faces of our residents, we see the faces of people who worked in careers and raised families to make our community, county and state flourish.  We thank them for that.  We also see people who served as volunteers in churches, in community events, in charitable acts, and in our local ambulance & fire departments.  We see people who cared for their neighbors.  Living at Montrose Health Center does not change their community-mindedness and their concern for others.  Our activity department strives to provide opportunities for continuing their sense of purpose.  Over the years, our residents have made blankets for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital with a photo of us doing "The Wave", crafted bookmarks and made May baskets for the school children,  sent cards to soldiers, sewed pearl buttons on replica cards to be sold during RAGBRAI to benefit Montrose Riverfront, Inc., and
