Activity Updates
Montrose Health Center will not be allowing the Dog Days of Summer to get us down! Instead, we will be celebrating the Animal Kingdom in July.
Our “Restore You” program will be featuring a day to play fetch with Zip and Tango, our volunteer Ann’s beloved dogs. Throwing the ball is so much fun when you are interacting with furry friends!
Nova will have her own day in the spotlight, too. Residents will be able to have their All-American photo taken with Nova, just before the 4th of July holiday. We can’t wait to see the results!
On Cow Appreciation Day, our group will have a Black Cow Happy Hour with chocolate, root beer and ice cream drinks. Perhaps we will even sing a round or two of “Mrs. O’Leary’s Cow” just for fun! No lanterns allowed!
Nurse Ashley Wade’s family will be introducing the MHC family to their newest “kids” —two delightful little goats. They plan to visit our residents here! Ashley’s son, Holdyn, is teaching the goats to be led on a harness. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the playful creatures and to watch the progress in their training.
The middle of summer here is just what it should be—a celebration of the joy and the beauty of living! “All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.” (Cecil Frances Alexander, 1848)
