Dietary Updates
We have all heard that April showers bring May flowers, right? Well, at Montrose Health Center, April showers brings the new spring and summer menu to our residents! Our new menu will start in April, and we are all ready to cook up new recipes at breakfast, lunch, and supper!
Some of the new menu items are, cheesy tortellini with tossed salad, garlic toast and brownie bottom cheesecake. Another day we have summer corn chowder, crackers, deli sandwich, creamy coleslaw, and fruited gelatin. Another delicious day features Italian brown sugar chicken, parmesan scalloped potatoes, capri vegetable blend, bread and margarine and summer yogurt pie. Along with all those tasty items we have some old summer favorites on this menu such as, chef salads, BLTs, and of course chili soup! Our residents love chili in any type of weather, so we make sure to keep it on the menu year-round!
Easter Sunday will also be a day that we will treat our residents with a mouth-watering menu of baked ham, roasted potatoes, baked beans, roll with margarine and peach pie.
