Activity Update
Spring is a delightful time of anticipation and expectation as we watch plants break through the soil and see baby birds and farm animals arrive. That is how we look at April here in the Montrose Health Center Activity Department.
Expect to see Montrose Health Center residents and staff out for Walks Around the Block in our wonderful small town as our weather improves. The sunshine and fresh air are the best medicine for our people. Our beloved dog, Nova, will be joining in on the walking fun, of course.
Expect to see more residents and activities on our front porch as the temperatures rise. We have a partial solar eclipse to view together with special glasses and sun treats.
Expect to see a group of MHC residents at O.W.L.S., the Lee County Conservation’s new nature program for Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors.
Expect to see our residents enjoying music groups, arts & crafts times, social gatherings, talks about the past (country schools, Iowa links to the Titanic sinking), new opportunities to learn (Spanish, new seed varieties), culinary events (“Cooking with Brandy” --our Dietary Supervisor, tasting PB &J’s, decorating your own cookie), and growing in spirit with our church groups and gospel singers.
Expect to see smiling residents at Montrose Health Center. We do!
